ConnectCounty finds its niche
Mesdaq-bound ConnectCounty
Holdings Bhd has carved a niche for itself in the cable
and connector business since it was established some five
years ago.
The company offers in-house solution of customised
cables and connectors, from conceptualisation stage to manufacturing.
Currently, it makes cables and connectors
for companies that manufacture computers, medical equipment
and electronic products.
One of its unique designs is a waterproof
connector for medical equipment. Managing Director Ang Chuang
Juay said that its clients needed the connector to be waterproof
to minimise the chances of liquids such as water and blood
seeping into the medical equipment.
ConnectCounty has operations in Malaysia,
Singapore, the US and China.
It owns a plant in Malaysia that caters for
the local market. It has a marketing and service office
in Singapore.
The company has a research and development
(R&D) facility in the US. It plans to move its product
development from the US to Malaysia to tap the lower labour
cost although research works will still be done in the US.
It also has a procurement office in China
as it outsources its manufacturing to vendors there.
