ConnectCounty Holdings Bhd's subsidiary, RapidConn Interconnect (M) Sdn Bhd, has extended its partnership TEAC Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd to assemble and supply printed circuit board assemblies for three years beginning early 2007.

TEAC Electronics, a subsidiary of Japan-based TEAC Corporation, is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of computer peripheral such as floppy and compact disk drives.

ConnectCounty group chairman and managing director, Ang Chuang Juay, said its working relationship with TEAC Electronics began four years ago, and with the signing of the three-year agreement, the collaboration will be extended to seven years.

"This is indeed a vote of confidence for our ability to deliver high quality levels in our products and services,” he said in a statement on Feb 12. ConnectCounty is a provider of cable and connector solutions.

"TEAC was among our top three customers for the past three years, and we will maintain our focus on growing with our individual customers for the long term,” Ang said.

ConnectCounty’s customer portfolio in the Information Technology industry includes leading global names such as Thomson Inc, Flextronics International, KeyTronics Corporation, Solectron and others.
